“Personen” is an experimental essay drama unfolding in real time over 95 minutes in the lives of a young German couple, Sophia and Jonathan, as they sit down to watch a film together, Ingmar Bergman's Persona. Directed by Sam Redding, "Personen" is a feature film about the pains of living in unfulfillment: a critique of inaction and the easy, pre-prescribed routes that our lives settle into when we stop paying attention to our true beliefs and ideals. This is our first feature film, and with it comes the combined force of our enthusiasm and hopes. We hope to reach a final edit by/before May 2025 and, ideally, send it to various high-level art film festivals.
